A major focus of our effort is to establish a project that includes volunteers from all levels of experience and to make it a positive experience for all involved.
In 2024, we are planning on growing vegetables using volunteers throughout the season and donating the produce to food pantries in need.
Involving kids to instill the value of giving to a good cause and teaching youth about how we grow the food we eat is important to us at Iowa Gardening for Good.

Many people ask what type of resources we have at our location. While we are alway adding, we have some equipment and facilities to handle a variety of volunteer groups.
We grow a wide range of vegetables and tend to expand each year. In 2023 we grew over 200,000 lbs of vegetables that were donated to food pantries in Iowa.
In 2023we had over 2,000 volunteers help make this project work. Although we didn't get pictures from all volunteers, we did get some.
